Partial installation of the Dakota Digital Cruise Control system has begun, along with partial design and fabrication of the Dakota Digital HVAC controls. We have completed the hard-mounting & programming of the cruise control Servo Module & ran the throttle cable with linkage installed.
Due to all the components this new dash assembly system will require, building must begin from the firewall and continue to the face of the dash. We must build in partial installs as we work our way to the outward-facing digital instruments including the cluster gauge, HVAC controls, double din navigation system, push-button automatic transmission drive system, cruise control, push button start, keyless entry and an assortment of high-tech Billet push button controls.
These changes require we go through the entire wiring system of the vehicle, eliminating all unnecessary circuits and upgrading the wiring to accommodate the capacity of the new load requirements. We are off to a great start, but have quite a way to go yet!...We are definitely in "elbow deep" and are working towards the light at the end of the tunnel!!!
The next stage of this build will be to fabricate two more control panels, one for digital gauges and one for the remote, fuse box, & keyless entry system with all remote accessories...
